Snakes AND Lizards:
Did you know that snakes aren't slimy? That some lizards have tongues longer that their own bodies?
Usually, there are only two poisonous lizards: the Gila monster and the Mexican beaded lizard. The venom of both lizards is neurotoxic. The two lizards are in the same family, and both are slow moving with a docile nature.
The komodo dragon, although not poisonous, can be dangerous due to its large size. These lizards can reach lengths of 3 meters and weigh over 115 kilograms. Do not try to capture this lizard!!!!
Snakes belong to the order of animals called reptiles. This group also include crocodiles, lizards, and turtles. They live almost everywhere, in deserts, forests, oceans, streams, and lakes. Some are ground dwellers, others live in trees, and other snakes spend most of their lives in water. There are a few areas where snakes do not live. They cannot survive in places where the ground stays frozen the year around, so they are missing in the polar regions or at high mountain elevations.
We choose this item to talk abuot because Juan Agustin's cousin likes very much snakes.

Discover the museums of lower Manhattan:

There are 15 Museums of Lower Manhattan that will inspire you unlike any other destinations in New York. Want to show your kids where the alins landed? Check out the South Street Seaport Museum. Ready to meet New Yorkers from the 19th century? They will greet you in person at the Lower East Side Tenement Museum. It's all here- in the historic downtown area south of Houston Street- at the 15 Museums Of lower Manhattan.

Each of these Museums tells fascinating stories about the struggles and triumphs of "ordinary" New Yorkers and Americans. Some Museums are huge institutions in modern buildings with multi-media presentations. Others are intimate spaces at inspiring historical land-marks. Since many are walking distance apart, you can enjoy several in one terrific day downtown.

Weekens and vactions are a great time to treat your family to the museum of lower Manhattan. Especially for kids in grade school and junior high, there are fims, hans-on exhibits, guided tours, and arts and crafts that are educational.

Summer Holidays

Hi, today I've decided to write about my summer holidays which are just about to start. I'm going to go to Mar del Plata like I did last year, from the 15th of December to the 1st of January. There I'll spend Christmas and New Year with my family and some friends, I'll also go to the beach and sunbathe. During the rest of the holidays I'll probably go to C.U.B.A . There, I usually go to the pool, sunbathe, play hockey and chat with my friends.

I love summer holidays because I get to do many interesting and fun things, I don't have to wake up early in the morning to go to school, I go to the pool or the beach almost every day and I really enjoy myself .

Well I hope yu've enjoyed my post.

Good Luck and enjoy your summer holidays.

Keane and Mcfly

Hi, my name is Martina Cardoso and I would like to tell you some things about my favourites bands. I love listening to music, and my favourite ones are Keane and Mcfly. Then, I like The Beatles, Rod Stewart, Panic! At the Disco, Travis, Starsailor, John Mayer and more...

But I'd like you to know somethin about Mcfly and Keane. (=

McFly is a British pop/rock band who started playing music in 2004 when they released their number one single, "5 Colours in Her Hair".

The band was formed by Tom Fletcher (guitar and vocals) and it also consists in Danny Jones (vocals and guitar), Dougie Poynter (bass) and Harry Judd (drums). The company which offered a record deal to the band is Island Records label.
McFly have a chart record of thirteen top ten singles, Their alums are: their debut, Room on the 3rd Floor (2004 and number 1), and their second, Wonderland(2005 and number 1) and their third one, Motion in the Ocean (Nov. 2006 number 6).
The band released their All The Greatest Hits album on November 5, 2007, which was charted at number three. And their fourth album will be released in 2008.

And Keane is an English piano-rock band. They were first established in Battle (East Sussex) in 1995. They took their current name in 1997 (When Tom Chaplin started playing music with them) . The group comprised of composer, bassist, and pianist Tim Rice-Oxley, lead vocalist Tom Chaplin and drumme Richard Hughes.
Dominic Scott (guitarist) was in the band up to 2001, when he left because of the lack of success.
Keane is known for using a piano as their lead instrument instead of guitars. Nowadays combine the pure piano rock sound used during their first album and the alternative rock sound which developed during 2005.
Keane's first two albums, Hopes and Fears(2004: this means they tried and tried 7 years for having a record deal, they finally got it in 2004 when Simon Williams of Fierce Panda "discovered" them and put their single "Everybody's Changing" on his label. Then, they were offered a total of 21 record deals. Islands Records is the one they choose) and Under the Iron Sea(2006) had great success in the United Kingdom upon release and very high sales worldwide: their multi-award-winning debut was the best-selling British album of 2004 and their follow-up sold 222,297 copies during its first week on sale in June 2006.

I hope you liked it. Bye !
